Our goal for our dogs is to have happy and healthy animals. I spend daily time with my dogs, cleaning their runs and giving them fresh water daily. My guys and girls are able to eat on their own schedule as they have full feed in front of them 24/7. Each of the dogs are part of our big family, they are loved and played with daily. As I clean their runs, each of them get to run and play, and have access to our 90-acre farm to roam. Almost always they are back into their homes before I am even ready for them, this assures me that they love their homes and family as much as we do.

Besides all the time my family and I spend with our animals, I keep in constant contact with my veterinarian. This is vital in assuring that they are in great physical condition and well being. Below you will find a medical policy that my veterinarian has recommended for the care of our animals.

PUPPY CARE

2 to 4 days DewClaws removed & tails docked (if needed). Receive 1st dose of Marquis (preventative medicine)

1 wk 1st dose Nemex (dewormer)

2 wks 2nd dose Nemex & Marquis

3 wks 3rd dose Nemex, start being handled daily, Frontlined

4 wks 1st Parvo Shot "Neopar", 4th dose Nemex, 3rd dose Marquis,  Vanguard DA2MP

5 wks 2nd Parvo Shot "Neopar", Ears cleaned, Kennel Innoculation at this point mommy is starting to wean them

6 wks 4th dose Marquis, Drontal Plus, Progard 5 Shot

7 wks Flagyl, Albon, at this point your puppy is fully weaned and going to the vet for his/her health inspection.

7 ½ to 8 wks will receive first bath, 2nd ear cleaning, and nails trimmed

8 wks Receive Albon & Panacure for 5 days, last dose of Marquis, 2nd Combo Shot Progard 6

This medical policy is working very well for our little ones. We are blessed with happy, healthy, playful little puppies ready for their new loving homes.

ADULT CARE

Every 3 months Panacure-"Dewormer"

Every 6 months Heartworm Preventive Shot

Annual Adult Shot

Spring Dipped, then frontlined as needed, to keep them free of any fleas or ticks.

We at Diamond S Puppies highly recommend that you take your puppy to your veterinarian in the first 72 hours of ownership and offer him/her the medical records that come with your puppy. He/She needs to visit with your new puppy at its best.
